Oana Moldovan graduated from University of Medicine and Pharmacy Cluj-Napoca, Romania, in 2002 and completed her residency training in Medical Genetics at Santa Maria Hospital, Lisbon, Portugal, in 2013. She currently works as a Clinical Geneticist at the same institution.

She is member of the Portuguese Society of Human Genetics and the European Society of Human Genetics.

Dr. Moldovan’s area of interest is cardiogenetics, including familial aortic diseases, cardiomyopathies, familial hypercholesterolemia and hereditary arrhythmias. She collaborates with the Cardiomyopathies outpatient Unit in the Cardiology Department and with several projects in this field, including the European Cardiomyopathy Pilot Registry.

She published several articles in international peer-reviewed journals and presented communications in national and international conferences and meetings.
