Adriana Díez Gómez del Casal

Lecturer in the Department of Educational Sciences and Psychology at the University of La Rioja. She belongs to the research group PRISMA (Programa Riojano de Investigación en Salud Mental) at the same university. She currently holds the post of Academic Director of Teacher Training and Teaching Innovation at the same university.
Professor Díez-Gómez has published numerous research articles and book chapters. She has been awarded a BBVA collaboration and research grant in 2020, and in 2023 the regional project of the Autonomous Community of La Rioja ‘Positivamente 2.0’. Together with other members of the PRISMA team, she has won the 2020 Research Award with the work ‘Suicidal behaviour among young people in La Rioja: making the invisible visible’ and the 2022 Research Award from the Institute of Studies of La Rioja (IER) with the work ‘Sexual diversity and vulnerability in adolescents in La Rioja: A pending subject’.
Her research career is mainly focused on the study of mental health in adolescents and young adults and, especially, on the prevention of suicidal behaviour in educational contexts.
