José Carlos Mota

Assistant Professor in the Department of Social, Political and Territorial Sciences at the University of Aveiro and GOVCOPP researcher. He has a PhD in Social Sciences from the University of Aveiro. He was the Director of the Master's programme in Urban and Regional Planning (2016-2020). He set up the Planning and Public Policy Laboratory, which was recently awarded the UA2023 Cooperation distinction. He has been involved in various national and international research projects on participatory territorial planning. He has promoted various civic initiatives in favour of cities and citizenship.
