Currently, international consultant for ACRIDES (Association for Disadvantaged Children, Cape Verde) and for the Council of Europe on a project concerning child-friendly justice.

Experienced in the areas of child and adolescent maltreatment, neglect, and sexual abuse, forensic psychological assessment, and family intervention. Has worked in clinical and forensic areas with research and numerous publications (authored and co-authored) in Forensic Psychology, divorce, children’s rights, positive parenting, mental health, and prevention of child sexual abuse. Coordinator of the “Vamos Prevenir” collection of the Portuguese Psychologists Association, focused on primary prevention of various issues affecting children and adolescents.
