Pedro Chagas Freitas

Pedro Chagas Freitas is the favorite writer of the Portuguese. He was born in Guimarães in 1979. He is also a trainer in the field of creative writing, the creator of two creative writing games — A Fábrica da Escrita and Supergénio — and a public speaker.
With more than 40 books published, he is a bestselling author in Portugal and in countries such as Italy, Brazil, and Mexico, with over one million copies sold worldwide.
Among his many works, he has published books such as Prometo Falhar (I Promise to Fail), one of his best-known novels and published in several countries, O Amor não Cresce nas Árvores (Love Doesn’t Grow on Trees), M#rda! Amo-te (Sh#t! I Love You), É Urgente Amar (It’s Urgent to Love), and Foste a Maneira Mais Bonita de Errar (You Were the Most Beautiful Way to Be Wrong).
His latest book, O Hospital de Alfaces (The Lettuce Hospital), is the biggest literary phenomenon in Portugal in recent years.
