César Sá
César Augusto Araújo Fernandes Meira de Sá is a Coordinating Professor at the School of Education of the Polytechnic Institute of Viana do Castelo (ESE-IPVC). He completed his Ph.D. and M.Sc. in Educational Sciences at the University of Lisbon - Faculty of Human Motricity, and his B.Sc. in Institute of Physical Education at the Technical University of Lisbon. He was director of the ESE-IPVC (2015 - 2023), President of the Pedagogical Council (two terms), Coordinator of the Department of Human Motricity, Coordinator of the course of Primary School Teachers and Physical Education variant and Coordinator of the Pedagogical Supervision M.Sc. He is currently a member of the General Council of the Polytechnic Institute of Viana do Castelo. Since 2023 he is a research in the Centre for Research and Innovation in Education (inED) of the ESE-IPP at the School of Education of the Polytechnic. Institute of Porto. He published 16 articles in specialized journals, 13 book chapters, 3 books and has given more than 120 communications. He supervised 1 Pd.D. thesis and more than 30 master´s thesis. His areas of interest are Teacher Education (theories, models and systems; socialization and professional development; teacher educators; supervised teaching practice), Pedagogical Supervision and Physical Education (pedagogy/didactics; motor learning).
