Raquel Leitão
Raquel Leitão has a Ph.D. in Child Studies - Child Health specialization, from University of Minho. Before that, she graduated in Nutrition Science and obtained a Master’s degree in Quality Control - Water and Food speciality, both from the University of Porto. She works full time as Adjunct Professor at Polytechnic Institute of Viana do Castelo (IPVC) where she started her professional activity in 1999 at College of Education (ESE-IPVC), also at College of Health (ESS-IPVC), since 2003, and at School of Sport and Leisure (ESDL-IPVC), since 2010. She is member of the Nutritionists Order (1788N) and has been involved in research projects funded by FCT, Programa NORTE2020 and FEDER. She has served as Editor for the Public Health, Epidemiology and Biostatistics section of Open Medicine and continues to serve as reviewer for several international journals. In 2018 she was apointed as head of the Master of Pre-School Education and of the Post-graduate Course in Education, Science and Local Heritage at ESE-IPVC. Latests publications: Leitão, R. B.
