Sociologist, integrated researcher at CIES-Iscte and Invited Assistant Professor at the School of Sociology and Public Policy (Iscte-IUL). Research focus: linguistic consequences of migratory phenomena, immigration and linguistic policies aimed at adults with an immigrant background, descendants of immigrants and foreign students in higher education.
Coordinates the research group Migration, Mobility and Ethnicity at CIES-Iscte (since 2022); is a member of the Scientific Council of Iscte (since 2021), of the Scientific Commission of the Sociology Department of Iscte (since 2022); and the Scientific Committee of CAPLE/FLUL (since 2020).
Since 2015 has been teaching in the 2nd cycle around language policies, international migrations, families and migrations, and academic writing; since 2019, also teaches in the 1st and 2nd cycles on research design, observational research and ethics and profession in sociology.
At CIES, co-organizes the series of seminars Migration in Digital Space: experiences, changes and resistances; and organizer of the Linguistics and Literacy Policies and Practices seminars.
